Thousands of Naidu’s protesters tried to obstruct the police, but in vain. Naidu had been on a fast since October 7 (Monday) to protest the manner in which the Congress-led UPA decided to carve out a separate Telangana state by bifurcating Andhra Pradesh.
The cops persuaded Naidu to agree to be taken to the RML hospital after a series of discussion. Naidu’s health was deteriorating fast, which forced the police to take this action.
