TNI Bureau: In a fresh step towards political outreach, a delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) visited the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters in New Delhi. The visit focused on strengthening direct communication and engagement between the two parties.
The Chinese delegation was led by Sun Haiyan, Vice Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC). The BJP side was represented by a delegation headed by National General Secretary and MP Arun Singh. Chinese Ambassador to India Xu Feihong was also present during the interaction.
Sharing details on social media, BJP’s Foreign Affairs Department head Vijay Chauthaiwale said the talks focused on advancing inter-party dialogue and cooperation between the BJP and the CPC. Arun Singh also acknowledged the meeting, noting that ways to enhance communication and interaction between the two parties were explored.
The political engagement comes amid renewed attention to India-China cultural and civilisational exchanges.
