TNI Bureau: The 110th birth anniversary of legendary leader and former Chief Minister of Odisha, Biju Patnaik, was observed by the Biju Janata Dal at Sankha Bhawan.
On the occasion, BJD President and Leader of the Opposition Naveen Patnaik, along with senior party leaders, paid floral tributes at the statue of Biju Patnaik at Forest Park at 9:45 AM.
Later, a memorial meeting was held at Sankha Bhawan under the chairmanship of the party’s Senior Vice-President Debi Prasad Mishra to remember the life and legacy of Biju Patnaik.
Addressing the gathering, Naveen Patnaik said that the party has always moved forward inspired by the ideals of Biju Babu. He stated that the party would continue to work to fulfil his dreams and that the contributions of Biju Patnaik would always inspire future generations.
During the meeting, senior leaders, Members of Parliament, MLAs and party office-bearers shared their views on the life, ideals and invaluable contributions of Biju Patnaik. They also resolved to follow his ideals and work for the development and welfare of the people of Odisha.
