TNI Bureau: Bhubaneswar Deputy Commissioner of Police Jagmohan Meena has forwarded his resignation letter to the Odisha Government. According to official sources, the resignation, submitted 25 days ago, is yet to be accepted and remains under consideration. It is learnt that after quitting the police service, Meena plans to join a private company.
Addressing speculation around his sudden decision, 2013-batch IPS officer Meena clarified that the move was entirely personal and had no link to any controversy or pressure.
Looking back at his tenure in Odisha, the officer said he feels fortunate to have served the State in different roles. He also expressed gratitude toward the people of Odisha.
Officials said the Government is reviewing his resignation letter. Until a decision is taken, Meena continues to hold charge as Bhubaneswar DCP. During his service, Meena was known for his work in law and order management and community policing in multiple districts of the State.
He served as Superintendent of Police in Angul and Ganjam districts, and also held the post of DCP, Cuttack Urban Police District.
