Australia top ICC ODI rankings; India slips to 3rd place

AusAustralia has moved to the top spot in the latest ICC ODI rankings after a 3-0 clean sweep of the ODI series against Pakistan in UAE. In the latest ICC ODI ranking released in Dubai, Australia has 114 points followed by South Africa and India with 113 points each.

The cancellation of Tuesday’s ODI between India and the West Indies in Visakhapatnam due to cyclone Hudhud, means India cannot overtake Australia even if it wins the remaining two matches in Dharamshala and Kolkata on 17 and 20 October, respectively.

At present, India has slipped to third place with 113 points.

Among the batsmen, AB Deviiliers is at the top followed by Hashim Amla. India’s Virat Kohli is at number three, Dhoni at number six and Shikhar Dhawan at number eight respectively. Saeed Ajmal and Sunil Narain lead the pack of bowlers followed by Dale Steyn while India’s Ravindra Jadeja is placed sixth in the ranking list.

In the All-rounders category, Mohammad Hafeez is at the top followed by Angelo Mathews. India’s Ravindra Jadeja is placed third in this category.
