Veteran Anna Hazare might be absent from the scene but Kejriwal is here to remind the people of Delhi that the movement against corruption will continue till his last breath.

Kejriwal’s hunger strike has entered third day on Monday. He claimed that more than 36,743 Delhities have signed up for the Civil Disobedience Movement. The protesters promised not to pay increased power and water bills

He claimed that he is not demanding anything from the government; rather his strike is an appeal to the people of Delhi to unite and raise their voice against increased power and water charges.

India Against Corruption (IAC) member Kejriwal began his fast on March 23 at a house in Sunder Nagri in East Delhi. He was shocked to know that the house owner had borrowed money to pay his water and electricity bills. It suggested that Sheila Dikhsit-led state government is not aware of the problems that Delhities are facing due to steep hike in power tariff.

Kejriwal started hunger strike to motivate people against the illegal rise in taxes. He will also unite people protesting in 264 wards across the city and launch door-to-door campaign asking people not to pay bills. He termed the increased power tariff as ‘illegal’ alleging that Sheila had colluded with power and water companies for the steep hike.
