This present proceeding is quiet important since the decision of this Court will affect the verdict of the other Courts in other countries which are trying the same case lodged by the two techno giants. Apple and Samsung are fighting over Smartphone and tablet patents across 10 different countries.

The Australian dispute is centered on touch-screen technology used in Samsung’s new Galaxy 10.1 tablet. The case is expected to continue till 2014 unless the two companies come to a global settlement.

Earlier on last 10 July, Samsung had won another patent case in this connection against Apple in U.K. as the Court there held that  the Galaxy tablet by Samsung has not the same characteristics hence it does not infringes any patent right of Apple.
