TNI Bureau: South African Olympic and Paralympic track star Oscar Pistorius was arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend. He was taken into custody on Thursday after his girlfriend was found shot dead at his home in Pretoria.

Police confirmed that a 9-millimetre pistol was found at the spot. Police suspected that Pistorius might have shot the woman in her head and arm. However, the murder plot appeared unclear.
Pistorius (26) is commonly known as the ‘Blade Runner’. He used to participate in the race wearing carbon fibre prosthetic blades as he was born without a fibula in both legs. He was the first double amputee to run in the Olympics and reached the 400-metre semi-finals in London 2012.
