Saina Nehwal wins Thailand Open Title

TNI Bureau: Ahead of the 2012 Olympics Games in London, India’s ace shuttler Saina Mirza got a big boost to her campaign by winning the Thailand Open Grand Prix Gold title.

Saina defeated Thailand’s Ratchanok Inthanon in the final in Bangkok. Saina won the contest 19-21, 21-15, 21-10. After losing a tough first set, Saina bounced back to win the next two without much pain.

Saina is ranked fifth in the world, while Ratchanok Inthanon is ranked 11th. She had beaten Saina earlier in the Sudirman Cup in 2011.
