India win Kochi ODI, brings Life to ODI Series

TNI Bureau: India won the second ODI in Kochi by a massive 127 runs to bring life to the five-match series. The series is now levelled 1-1. The England team proved no match to the resurgent Team India and failed in each department of the game.

In reply to India’s 285/6, England lost wickets at regular interval and bowled out for 158 in 36 overs. Pietersen was the top scorer with 42, while Joseph Root made 36. Samit Patel remained unbeaten on 30. For India, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ashwin took three wickets each. Jadeja took two wickets.

Ravindra Jadeja was declared ‘Man of the Match’ for his allround performance. Besides taking two crucial wickets, he had also scored an unbeaten 61 off 37 balls. Jadeja conceded just 12 runs in 7 overs.
