US Presidential Polls begin, Obama seeks 2nd Term
TNI Bureau: The much-awaited and fiercest Presidential polls began today with rival candidates Barack Obama and Mitt Romney casting their votes. According to CNN polls, Obama has a slight edge over Romney by 49 to 48%.
Many Indo-Americans believe that a second term for Obama will augur well for India, as he would continue with his trade, business and anti-terror policies without any big changes. There are 28 lakh Indian voters in the US.
The 11 swing states may turn out to be decisive in 2012 Presidential polls in the US. Both Obama and Romney are heading for a photo-finish in the closest ever elections in the US history.
