India ranks 168th in FIFA Rankings

TNI Bureau: Indian football team moved a place up to be 168th in the latest FIFA rankings.

India secured 114 points after winning the Nehru Cup last month for a hat-trick.

The world champions and Euro 2012 winners Spain continued to top the table with 1611 points even as five-time FIFA World Cup winners Brazil slumped to a lowly 14th.

Germany remained static in the second spot with 1459 points while Portugal moved a place up to third with 1259 points.

Argentina, who made fourth places, and England, who went down two rungs, secures the top five positions.

Nehru Cup participant, Afghanistan, was two places above India at 166th, while neighbours Bangladesh and Pakistan were 169th and 177th, respectively.
