The Trinidad & Tobago scored an easy eight-wicket victory over the Chennai Super Kings to top the Group B and enter the semifinals of the CLT20 2013. Both teams have qualified for the semifinals. In the first semifinal, Chennai will take on Rajasthan Royals. In the other semifinal, T&T will clash with Mumbai Indians.
T&T won the toss and elected to field first. Chennai bowled out for 118 in 19.4 overs. Murali Vijay (27), Raina (38) and Dhoni (25) were the top scorers. CSK lost 9 wickets for just 56 runs. Rayad Emrit took three wickets. Ravi Rampaul and Lendl Simmons took two wickets each.
Chasing a victory target of 119, Trinidad & Tobago had no difficulty to reach the target in just 15.1 overs. Simmons scored 63, while Evin Lewis made 38. Simmons was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
