TNI Bureau: Bahuda Jatra 2026 concluded on a grand note as the three chariots of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra reached the Singhadwar of the Shree Jagannath Temple after being pulled by lakhs of devotees along the Grand Road.

The return journey began after the completion of the customary rituals, including Pahandi and Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb’s Chhera Panhara, the ceremonial sweeping of the chariots with a golden broom.

The Taladhwaja chariot of Lord Balabhadra was pulled first, followed by Darpadalan of Goddess Subhadra and Nandighosa of Lord Jagannath. The pulling of all three chariots was completed by around 11 pm, according to official sources.

Lakhs of devotees from across India and abroad gathered in Puri to witness the annual return car festival of the Holy Trinity. Extensive security arrangements and other logistical measures were put in place to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the Bahuda Jatra.
