Centre Plans E85 Fuel at ₹20 Lower Price than E20 Petrol

TNI Bureau: The Centre is planning to introduce E85 fuel, which will be around ₹20 cheaper per litre than E20 petrol, Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said.

He said E85 fuel will be used only in vehicles designed for it. The move aims to reduce fuel costs for consumers and support the government’s ethanol blending programme.

The minister also said ethanol-blended fuel does not harm vehicle engines and is safe for use in compatible vehicles.
