As part of the exercise, BLOs will visit households during the morning hours to verify voter details and conduct field-level mapping. They will also remain available at their respective polling booths every day from 3 PM to 5 PM to assist voters and address grievances related to electoral records.

During the verification process, voters will be able to get corrections made to their Electoral Photo Identity Cards (EPICs) through BLOs. Common errors such as incorrect age, spelling mistakes in names, and inaccuracies in parents’ names will be identified and rectified. Voters whose mapping has already been completed will be required to provide their photographs and signatures. They may also submit a new photograph if they wish to update their existing one.

To facilitate corrections and updates, two forms will be distributed to every voter. The revision exercise will continue until June 28.

Election officials stated that the mapping of more than three crore voters has already been completed in preparation for the drive. A total of 45,255 Booth Level Officers have been deployed across the state to carry out the verification process.

The Election Commission has instructed BLOs to remain vigilant and ensure that no eligible Indian citizen is left out of the voter list while preventing the inclusion of ineligible individuals. The exercise aims to strengthen the integrity of the electoral roll by removing errors and ensuring that only eligible voters are enrolled.
