Anti-Corruption Unit Officials to accompany IPL Teams

Date:

The BCCI failed to take any action against the players who shamed the game of cricket by indulging in spot-fixing in the IPL. The Board would wait for the final probe report before taking any strong action against Sreesanth, Ankeet Chavan and Ajit Chandila.

The BCCI has decided to assign Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) officials to each IPL team to check the menace of match-fixing and spot-fixing. However, the Board’s approach failed to make any impact on the cricket experts, who believe that BCCI is highly responsible for the degradation of cricket values in India.

The BCCI has also decided to give accreditation to the agents of all cricketers playing in the IPL. In addition, the BCCI has appointed Ravi Sawani as the Commissioner to look into the allegations against those three players.
