TNI Bureau: The Bhubaneswar chapter of the Konark Cancer Foundation (KCF), an organisation dedicated to the care and support of cancer patients, celebrated its 6th anniversary with a grand event at the local Terapanth Bhavan.
Rotary-3262 DG Manoj Tripathy attended as the Chief Guest and appreciated the Foundation’s sustained efforts in serving cancer patients. KCF Managing Trustee Arup Pattnaik delivered the keynote address, highlighting the organisation’s commitment to spreading hope and providing comprehensive support to cancer patients.
During the event, the Chief Executive Officer presented a detailed report outlining the Foundation’s journey since its inception and the progress achieved over the years. On the occasion, two cancer survivors shared their personal struggles and spoke about how the Foundation’s support had brought positive changes to their lives.
As part of its social service initiative, the Foundation provided free, high-quality artificial breasts and wigs to 11 women cancer patients. The initiative aims to boost their confidence and provide crucial psychological support during recovery.
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest said that the work of the Konark Cancer Foundation in the field of cancer care is exemplary and has become a source of new hope for cancer warriors. He also spoke about the possibility of expanding service activities through future collaboration between Rotary and the Foundation.
The programme concluded with cancer patients and their family members expressing gratitude to the Foundation, donors and volunteers for their compassion and dedicated service.
