Chennai secured an important win at MA Chidambaram Stadium against Hyderabad tonight. Some great hits from MS Dhoni helped the team win. His fans were in “to be or not be” situation when Jadeja was caught in 18 overs. However, a monstrous shot from the skipper saved the team in IPL 6.
Chennai did many things pretty badly, but Dhoni finished the game with the wonderful performance. Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 159/6 (20.0 Ovs). The team could have restricted Hyderabad to 130, but they scored plenty of runs in the last five overs.
Chasing the target 160, Chennai lost wickets at crucial intervals but Dhoni stood firm and entertained his fans with big hits. He was the MoM for his match-winning unbeaten 67 off 37 balls.
Despite Hussey started well but Chennai lost wickets at regular intervals. Hyderabad had two leg-spinners who were bowling very well. As the match progressed, the pitch became slower. However, at the end of the game, Chennai were the winner. Hyderabad now fell to the 3rd position at the point table with this loss.
