Google pays $100mn Bonus to Neal Mohan

Date:

In a desperate bid to prevent Indian-American executive Neal Mohan from joining Twitter, Internet giant Google had paid a whopping bonus of $100 million (Rs 540 crore) and retained him. Neal Mohan is the man in charge of display ads for Google. He has been instrumental in taking Google’s business forward.

Through his hard efforts, Neal is expected to bring business worth $7 billion for Google this year. The bonus was not paid recently, reports TechCrunch. It was paid in 2011 when Mohan was all set to join Twitter as the Chief of Product.

Since Mohan was paid $100 million in 2011, the current value of those shares would be worth $150 million today. Neal Mohan graduated from Stanford in 1996 and worked for Accenture and NetGravity before joining Google. He has been overseeing Google’s acquisition of start-up companies.
