TNI Bureau: The 62nd birth anniversary of late Congress leader Lalatendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra, popularly known as Lulu Mohapatra, was observed by the Lulu Mohapatra Memorial Committee in Bhubaneswar.
On the occasion, a large motorcycle rally was organised, which started from Vani Vihar and passed through Rupali Square, Satyanagar, Ram Mandir Square, Master Canteen Square, and Raj Mahal Square. Floral tributes were offered to a 20-foot portrait of the late leader at Raj Mahal Square. Lulu Mohapatra’s supporters later proceeded in a rally to the Congress Bhavan, where the main programme was held.
Senior Congress leaders, including Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) President Bhakta Charan Das, former OPCC Presidents Niranjan Patnaik and Prasad Harichandan, Congress Legislature Party leader Ramchandra Kadam, and former ministers Suresh Kumar Routray and Ananta Prasad Sethi paid floral tributes and remembered the contributions of the late leader.
As part of the programme, leaders and supporters cut chhena poda, highlighting Odia identity, and shared memories of Lulu Mohapatra. Thousands of supporters and party workers participated in the event and paid homage.
