TNI Bureau: Despite the country-wide outrage and police initiatives, the rape cases are on the rise in India. Recently, a 4-year-old girl was raped on a moving school bus in Mumbai.
The victim is a nursery school student. She was allegedly raped by the school bus conductor (35) on Thursday afternoon. She was alone in the bus when she was raped.
As per the Supreme Court order, a teacher of the school needs to be in the bus to take care of children till they reach at their homes safely. However, the report is not clear whether any teacher or authority of the school was present in the school bus when the incident took place.
The accused has been arrested under Sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual offences Act.
