Mauni Amavasya is the most auspicious day of Maha Kumbh. After 2001 Parliament Attack convict Afzal Guru’s hanging yesterday, a high alert has been issued across Maha Kumbh. Fearing backlash from the terrorists, the administration is leaving no stones unturned to ensure safety and security of the devotees.

Commandos of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) have been deployed across Maha Kumbh to prevent any untoward incident. Till 8 AM today, around two crore people have already taken the holy bath.
