10 Naxals gunned down in Chhattisgarh

In early this morning, as many as ten Naxals were killed and several others injured in an encounter with security forces in Maoist-hit Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. Eleven automatic guns were also recovered from the encounter spot.

On a tip off about the existence of Naxals in the forest area of Puarti village, a search was jointlt launched by Greyhounds force of Andhra Pradesh and district force of Sukma.

Realizing the presence of security forces, the red rebels opened fire and in the retaliatory action, ten rebels were killed and several others were injured in the hour-long fire exchange. Meanwhile, the combing operation is still on in the jungle.
