10 Army personnel killed after vehicle plunges into 200-feet gorge in J&K

TNI Bureau: Ten Indian Army personnel lost their lives and ten others were injured today after a bulletproof Army vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Doda district.

According to officials, the Casspir vehicle was en route for an operational assignment when it veered off the Bhaderwah–Chamba interstate road near Khanni Top, reportedly due to treacherous terrain and bad weather conditions.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed grief over the tragedy and paid tribute to the fallen soldiers. “We will always remember the outstanding service and supreme sacrifice of our brave soldiers,” he said in a post on X. He added that the injured have been airlifted to hospitals and senior officials have been directed to ensure the best possible treatment.

The Army’s White Knight Corps also confirmed multiple casualties, stating that the injured personnel have been evacuated for further medical care.
