TNI Bureau: The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) leader Yasin Malik shared the stage with India’s most wanted terrorist Hafiz Saeed in Pakistan to mourn the hanging of the Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru.
Malik was on the hunger strike for 24 hours near Islamabad Press Club after Afzal Guru was hanged on Feb 9 in Delhi’s Tihar jail. Thousands of people had come to Malik express grief over the execution. It was reported that Saeed had come there and stayed for 15 minutes.
However, Malik denied that he had met Saeed. When asked why he chose Pakistan for the hunger strike, he stressed on his democratic right. He said that he can protest anywhere in the world as sitting on a hunger strike is his democratic right.
Malik, who has married Pakistani artist Mishal Malik, sat on hunger strike during his private visit to Pakistan. He had reportedly called the hanging of Guru in Tihar jail as an expression of extreme despotism and tyranny by Indian government.
