Heavy rains played the spoilsport, as the match between West Indies and Sri Lanka in the Celkon Mobile Cup Tri-Series, has been called off. Since there is a reserve day, the match will re-start tomorrow.
Earlier, West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl first. Their bowlers did a great job to restrict Sri Lanka to 29/3 at one stage. Later, they recovered to take the total to 60/3 when rain stopped the play. Sangakkara (11*) and Thirimanne (13*) were at the crease.
For West Indies, Kemar Roach took two wickets. It’s a must-win game for Sri Lanka, as their victory would put tremendous pressure on India in the last game. If they lose, India will have the advantage against them in the last league match to be played on Tuesday.
