After losing the first unofficial ODI, West Indies A side bounced back strongly to win two back-to-back matches and claimed the series 2-1. Skipper Yuvraj Singh showed tremendous potential in the series with a hundred and a fifty, but failed to power his team to a series win.
Chasing a victory target of 313, India lost Uthappa (27) and Naman Ojha (0) with 46 runs on board. But Baba Aparajith (78) and Yuvraj Singh (61) added 112 runs for the third wicket. After their departure, the game went in West Indies A’s favour. India A finished at 267/8 in 50 overs and lost the match by 45 runs. Veerasammy Permaul took three wickets, while Miguel Cummins took two wickets.
India A had beaten West Indies A by 77 runs in the first match. Yuvraj had scored 123. In the second match, West Indies A won by 55 runs. Yuvraj scored 40. Vinay Kumar had taken three wickets in that game.
