Veteran Journalist M.V. Kamath dies at 93

MV-KamathVeteran journalist and noted writer M.V. Kamath died at the age of 93 following a brief illness. Kamath was the former Editor of The Illustrated Weekly of India and former Chairman of Prasar Bharati Board. He also worked with The Times of India, The Sunday Times and the Press Trust of India. Kamath was also serving as the Honorary Director at Manipal School of Communication.

Born in Udupi on September 7, 1921, M.V. Kamath wrote several books, including ‘Gandhi – A Spiritual Journey’ in 2007 and ‘Narendra Modi – The Architect of a Modern State’ in 2009. He co-authored the book on Modi with Kalindi Randeri.

Sri M.V. Kamath was awarded with Padma Bhushan in 2004. He wrote around 40 books on various topics. He breathed his last at the Kasturba Hospital in Manipal.
