ULB Polls in Kandhamal to be held on December 2

The urban local body polls in G Udaygiri NAC and Phulbani Municipality in Kandhamal district, will be held on December 2, 2013, as per the guidelines issued by the State Election Commission (SEC) of Odisha.

The nomination forms will be issued on November 11 and will be available till November 16. Scrutiny of the forms will be done on November 18. The provisional list of candidates will be published on November 19, while the candidates can withdraw their nominations by November 21. Final list will be published on the same day. Polling will be held on December 2, while counting will be done on December 3.4

The Model Code of Conduct comes into force from November 4, 2013. There are 13 wards in Phulbani Municipality, while the estimated voters are said to be 25,947. Similarly, 7,062 voters will decide the fate of 13 wards in G Udaygiri NAC.
