Chasing a victory target of 230, West Indies lost three wickets for just 26 runs. However, a 116-run partnership between Johnson Charles and Darren Bravo changed the course of the game. Charles made 97, while Bravo scored 55.
Despite a late strike by the Indian bowlers, Darren Sammy (29) and Kemar Roach (14*) helped the team score an exciting one-wicket victory over India, as West Indies reached 230/9 in 47.4 overs. Umesh Yadav took three wickets, while Ishant and Ashwin took two wickets each. Johnson Charles was declared ‘Man of the Match. India will take on Sri Lanka on Tuesday.
