The world is observing the annual ‘Earth Hour’ today on 23rd March. If you are concerned for climate change to check environmental pollution, you should turn off the non-essential lights today from 8.30 P.M. to 9.30 P.M. local time for one hour.
The campaign is a symbolic show of support for planet Earth where many of the world’s most iconic attractions, including the Empire State Building, Copenhagen’s Little Mermaid, the statue of David in Florence, Cape Town’s Table Mountain, the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbor Bridge and Russia’s Kremlin building will take part.
“Earth Hour shows that there are millions of people around the world who also want to do something.” – Reportedly said Dermot O’Gorman, head of WWF-Australia.
Even amid darkness ‘Earth Hour’ flows a stream of worldwide awareness and the scene will definitely be an unique one as people will be taking candle light dinners then in the restaurants and the iconic edifices will be in shadow for one hour, altogether offering a different but charismatic experience.
Be ready to turn off your light today (in Odisha) from 8.30 to 9.30 P.M. Every aware dweller of planet Earth, who is concerned for their loving planet, should observe ‘Earth Hour’.
