TMC in Controversy for Vulgar Show on Foundation Day

Date:

TNI Bureau: Trinamool Congress leaders landed in fresh controversy after they threw money at dancers, who were in skimpy clothes, at a show, which was organised to mark party’s 15th foundation day on Tuesday.

The show was organised in Bhangore where few district level TMC leaders were present and and enjoying the dance. The incident drew flak from the opposition parties. The programme was held in front of the local police station and leaders were enjoying the dance. It was alleged that the girls were in small dresses and TMC leaders were throwing money at them.

Organising a dance show during foundation day came as a surprise when the country is outraged, even the New Year celebrations across the country have been cancelled in order to pay tribute to ‘India’s Daughter’ – 23-year-old gangrape victim, who died in Singapore hospital fighting for life on December 29 last year.
