By Rakesh Gupta: Three fake Naxals were arrested in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district today. They were allegedly holding meetings in different villages and collecting huge amount of money from the villagers in the name of red rebels.
While talking to TNI, Kundei Police station IIC Satyananda Patro said, “ Four youths went to Lindaguda village under Raighar Police Station few days back and held a meeting in the name of naxal- movement. They collected near about Rs 17000 from the villagers. They also held a meeting at Vimabhata village under Raighar police station where they collected about Rs 24000. The villagers could not inform the Police earlier fearing of naxal- attacks.”
“Yesterday the four youths went to a village to hold the meeting in order to collect money from the villagers, where the villagers suspected them and tried to catch them but the youths managed to flee, but left a bag and some naxal-uniforms”, he said.
Meanwhile, Kundei police succeed to arrest three persons from Hirmi village under Kundei Police station. They are Baisakhu Harijan, Mahesh Biswakarma and Asaram Komar. The fourth accused Sahdev Gond is, however ,absconding. All the accused are in the age of 20 to 22 years.
Kundei IIC Patro told that further investigation is on and all the three accused will be forwarded to the court.
