TNI Bureau: Tamil actor Kamal Haasan moved the Madras High Court against Tamil Muslim groups’ protests, which prompted Tamil Nadu government to ban his film “Vishwaroopam”. The actor appealed to the court seeking his film to be released on the scheduled date on January 25.
However, the actor said that the community has not been portrayed in a poor light; rather the patriotic Muslim will appreciate the film after watching it. He termed the Muslim groups’ protests as cultural terrorism, which needs to be stopped in India.
He said that he has done nothing wrong nor he is against the Muslim community. The actor was completely hurt by the accusations, but people should remind that he has gone beyond the call of his duty in his career as an actor to raise his voice in favour of humane and civil. He said that he is the part of an organisation called Harmony India, which works for Hindu Muslim amity.
