While hearing on the case, the court said that the all the petitions were devoid of merit. Mayawati’s lawyer argued that the petitions were politically motivated and pursued with malafide intention. He made it clear that there were no offence committed by the BSP chief in the Taj Corridor case.

The Taj corridor file was never given to Mayawati. There has been no huge construction at the Taj Corridor. It must have been hyped by the media, her counsel said.
