TNI Bureau: The Tehrik-e-Minhajul Quran (TMQ) leader Tahir ul Qadri is moving forward to control the Pakistan politics after the Supreme Court ordered the arrest of Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf in a corruption case. He is an influential cleric, who has overnight shot to fame and is now threatening the government with a revolution.
Qadri is a Pakistani-origin Canadian citizen, returned to the country last year after 6 years. His speeches indicated that he was on a mission to bring major electoral reforms in Pakistan. He political party, which was founded in 1989, received poor response in last elections. However, he is quite nearer to his destination.
He said that his supporters will continue the protest till his demands get fulfilled. He warned that his supporters could occupy the corridors of power within an hour if they are ordered to do so. However, he denied that he is not there to occupy Islamabad. He made it clear that the protest is to make the country free from thieves, dacoits, tax evaders and corruption.
