BJP-BJD

TNI Bureau: Two politicians from rival parties let down the people of Odisha in the last few days. And, both the incidents were related to Pulwama terror attack, which claimed the lives of 40 CRPF Jawans, including two from Odisha. If BJD MLA Debashish Samantaray drew flak for forgetting the human values, BJP leader Lekhashree Samantsinghar was accused of forgetting the basic courtesy.

Fans and followers of both parties may try to put up volt face in public, as they have been doing and pretend that their leaders did no wrong, but they know the truth better than us.

What Debashish Samantaray did, was unpardonable. He not only manhandled the martyr Manoj Behera’s relative, but also made an irresponsible statement while tendering apology. Twitter outrage forced the entire party to go into a huddle and Debashish apologised. But, he showed arrogance by saying “he was not aware of the person’s identity”. He also termed him a “distant relative”. Did he mean to say he had the license to behave rudely with all other people? Had the person not been the martyr’s relative, would not Debashish apologise?

The above questions would haunt Debashish for long. It would also make a dent in the image of BJD, its Supremo and the Spokespersons who were defending the indefensible.

At the same time, can we take Lekhashree’s statement lightly? Time and again, she has been using the language against rival leaders, which are far from decent. She mocks, taunts, takes a dig at BJD rivals, including the Chief Minister in an undignified manner. Look at leaders like Suresh Pujari, Bhrugu Baxipatra, Aparajita Sarangi and their tweets and statements. Can’t we see the difference? Lekha is found crossing the line too often unlike other leaders in the party.

Calling an elected Chief Minister (who has been in office for four times) “anti-national” or “desh drohi”, she did no justice to her stature as well as that of the party. Naveen Patnaik can be criticised, slammed and trolled. Everyone has a right to ask questions. He can be taken to task on many schemes, policies etc. In politics, there are rivals, not enemies. But, even die hard supporters of BJP did not take Lekha’s statement lightly and agreed that it was in very bad taste and could have been avoided.

We are going to witness a heated battle and dirty mud-slinging match in the run up to 2019 general election, which is also clubbed with the assembly polls in Odisha. It would be futile to expect decency and courtesy as well human values from our political leaders. Let’s wait and watch whether they would continue to stoop to new low as the political battle intensifies in the coming weeks or restrain themselves. The former looks more likely.

TNI Bureau: As the anger and passion running high in India after the Pulwama terror attack, which claimed lives of 40 CRPF jawans and Indians seek revenge, we have conducted a debate on Facebook.

Can India afford to go into War with Pakistan to eliminate Terror?

Your Views:

G Raj Sekhar Rao: Yes.

Suchintan Rout: Yes, but we should be very cautious in taking decision.

Dipak Kumar Mahato: Yes..but beware of China and USA ..becoz of their dual nature.

Ajit Das: Yes

Sambit Nanda: War is a large scale action. India shall follow the Israel way to quarantine those bastards.

Guru Prasad Pattnaik: No way ….. War will take India back by a decade for sure. But wish the bastards to be punished.

Chandrashekhar Mishra: Diplomatic war through support of all over world would be better than the war on field. Let Pakistan be treated as an island with no trade and support from any country. Then our Army can launch attack on them. I wish PM’s visit to almost all the countries during his tenure would give us the benefits and results.

Sonali Satpathy: We are waiting to see his course of action now.

Bhawani Sankar: Yes we can. But if CHINA and USA interfere, then we will surely face problems.

धर्मवीर सिंह: India should go and finish this issue once for all.

Amit Kumar Dash: Atal Bihari Vajpayee is missed largely. He wouldn’t have a second thought.

Suvendu Mohapatra: Seems Social media will decide what to do, how to do, when to do where to do. My suggestion: stay quiet; the leadership will take call with proper strategy .

Sashibhusan Das: War is always the last option in politics, said Sri Krishna.

Marshal Panda: Terrorist attacks from Pakistan will continue till that country and its security apparatus exist in the present form. And India just can’t wish away Pakistan. Short of regular war, many other military, diplomatic, economic and scientific options are available to bleed Pakistan. One option according to experts is – five lakhs shells were lobbed during Kargil over a period of three months. Even a fraction of that nos. are lobbed across the LOC in a sustained manner, Pakistan will go bust.

Nirmal Panda: Yes..But my demand is to remove 370.

Ar Karthik Shyale: We are already in War with Pak since partition, the sooner we realize this the lesser we bleed! All that we need today is come out of foolishness of “Aman ki Tamasha” & neutralize the terrorist state Pakistan for good!

Rajender Raj: India should take POK back.

Vijaya Singh: Yes we can. But with a strategy in place. Wars are not fought on emotions only, but with careful planning. We cannot let our boys be cattle fodder for the Pakis.

ସଞ୍ଜୟ କୁମାର ପ୍ରଧାନ: Yes

Jagannath Satapathy: India with wholeheartedly start a war especially in disputed PoK without any doubt. Even Mr Modi re-emerged as a larger leader by withdrawing MFN status and even opposition in compulsion also joined the hands, no time to wait for abolition of Article 370..

Mahendra Adhikari: Yes.

Acharya Biswa: Yes, no doubt.

Asish Satpathy: Definitely we can, as it’s the only way to stop this type of cowardice activity.

Gyan Ranjan: When it comes to National Security, India must act and Indians must afford. War is not child’s play and can’t be started instantly with emotions. The war can be be fought diplomatically with allies, putting pressure on rogue nation, commercial terms and fighting on ground. I am sure that the govt at centre quite capable of taking right decision. Though war will help the govt during election year, still govt will take a call at right time with right strategy.

Nrusingha Nanda Panigrahy: There is no other alternative. It should be a war like Bangladesh war. Pakistan should be eliminated from the political map of the world.

Dilip Lenka: It’s high time we stop politics, unite ourselves, and prepare for a final war against terrorism.

Prakash Parija: Yes. We can and we must attack Pakistan.

Dharmraj Rajesh Kumar Purohit: Boycott Chinese product; China is father of Pakistan helping throughout the all terror attacks, and after all India started the war by taking the most favoured nation title from Pakistan, it will affect poor Pakistan’s economy. The most important thing here is there is other options available which would be more disastrous for Pakistan than war, we want to see Pakistan on road.

Nayak Locanath: Ridiculous question, we will suffer till our mentality and courage touches the thoughts of Israel…

Anirudha Nayak: No doubt we can.. But with proper planning… But before that.. First we have to clean our home… Yahan ghar ghar main bibishan hai.

Rakesh Gupta: Yes, India can afford and it is the only way to dealt with Pakistan because the rouge nation is like kutte ka dum jo kabhi sidha nahi hoga, usse katna padega.

TNI Bureau: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has rubbished the reports published on ‘The Quint’ which claimed quoting an anonymous CRPF officer that the forces were denied air transit although they requested for it.

“Reports that appeared in a section of media that air transit facility on Jammu- Srinagar sector for CRPF troops was not allowed are untrue”, said MHA in a press statement.

The Quint had claimed that CRPF officials in Kashmir had requested for air transit, as a lot of Jawans got stranded in Jammu because if roadblocks due to snowfall. The request was sent to CRPF HQs in Delhi, which forwarded it to MHA. But, no action was taken, alleged The Quint quoting annonymous CRPF officials.

However, as the Home Ministry has denied the report, onus lies on The Quint to prove the allegations which are grave at this juncture. The report is being used by the Opposition and critics to attack the Govt.

BSF request to Home Ministry:

Meanwhile, we came across a document that was related to BSF’s request for air transit on the same ground. As per the document, BSF wanted deployment of Mi-17 helicopters in the valley for the months of January & February.

The MHA consulted the BSF Air Wing and found that deployment of Mi-17 for two months won’t be possible. The Ministry then asked BSF to submit a fresh proposal for airlifting of their stranded personnel using IAF Aircraft whenever the situation arises, and on case to case basis.

TNI Bureau: Call us warmongers or whatever you want. But, India is already bracing for a war. Today’s terror attack has just vindicated that notion. No more condemnation or surgical strike, which would be questioned by our own people (liberals and intellectuals)! Go for the kill, Mr. Modi. You have been given a mandate for that only.

42 CRPF jawans martyred today and the toll is rising. We don’t know where will it stop. But, when the counting stops, we must be ready to take a strong and decisive action. Yes, Nation wants this. If we don’t, our future generation won’t forgive us. It’s not just a terror attack. It’s a war unleashed on India. And, Pakistan must pay for every blood and flesh of our jawans that we saw lying on the road today.

Dear Prime Minister, you always claimed yourself to be a strong and decisive leader. And, we accepted that. The Surgical Strike was perfect. We hailed you then. But, this is a much bigger challenge today and you need to lead from the front. Rush to Kashmir immediately, stand with our soldiers and plan your moves. The entire nation will stand by you if you dare to punish Pakistan in a direct fight.

The blood and sacrifice of our martyrs should not go in waste. That’s what the nation believes. That’s what everyone wants today. We are ready for any consequences. Let’s fight back. Let’s retaliate. It’s the payback time. India cannot be taken for granted anymore. It’s now or never for all of us.

Jai Hind.
