TNI Bureau: In the wake of journalists and media houses rushing to take interviews of family members of dreaded terrorists and then publicise those, we had asked our readers about their views on this matter. A few have responded.

Our Question: Why Media should interview family members of Terrorists and publicise those? Should it stop?

Your Views:

Ramachandi Prasad Ranasingh: For Media, TRP comes first, everything else comes later. They won’t even hesitate to show LIVE telecast of rallies of terrorists. Media has deviated from its moral responsibility.

Acharya Biswa: Right point, No need to take their views and publicise them.

Rajalaxmi Patra: It should be condemned. National interest is first. It’s the foremost duty of media houses to keep away from this type of heinous acts.

Pradeep Shahri: Yes, absolutely.

Sasmit Patra: Agreed.

Jagannath Satapathy: Interviewing the terrorists’ relatives must be boycotted by all media houses unanimously, as too much hype to the offenders encourages others to walk in a wrong path, only to get attention and power, which negatively costs the entire nation. We as a viewer, want Hero soldiers’ story, not of villains.

Debendra Rout: Terrorists are working for publicity. They want to terrorise the entire system by their inhuman activities. Unfortunately, some of our media houses have been fulfilling their intentions by publicising their stories. It should be strictly banned. On the name of Right to Speech, some people are supporting anti-social activities and want to be part of the breaking news. Our media houses need to perform their duties ethically.

Vijaya Singh: Never interview them.

TNI Bureau: As the anger and passion running high in India after the Pulwama terror attack, which claimed lives of 40 CRPF jawans and Indians seek revenge, we have conducted a debate on Facebook.

Can India afford to go into War with Pakistan to eliminate Terror?

Your Views:

G Raj Sekhar Rao: Yes.

Suchintan Rout: Yes, but we should be very cautious in taking decision.

Dipak Kumar Mahato: Yes..but beware of China and USA ..becoz of their dual nature.

Ajit Das: Yes

Sambit Nanda: War is a large scale action. India shall follow the Israel way to quarantine those bastards.

Guru Prasad Pattnaik: No way ….. War will take India back by a decade for sure. But wish the bastards to be punished.

Chandrashekhar Mishra: Diplomatic war through support of all over world would be better than the war on field. Let Pakistan be treated as an island with no trade and support from any country. Then our Army can launch attack on them. I wish PM’s visit to almost all the countries during his tenure would give us the benefits and results.

Sonali Satpathy: We are waiting to see his course of action now.

Bhawani Sankar: Yes we can. But if CHINA and USA interfere, then we will surely face problems.

India should go and finish this issue once for all.

Amit Kumar Dash: Atal Bihari Vajpayee is missed largely. He wouldn’t have a second thought.

Suvendu Mohapatra: Seems Social media will decide what to do, how to do, when to do where to do. My suggestion: stay quiet; the leadership will take call with proper strategy .

Sashibhusan Das: War is always the last option in politics, said Sri Krishna.

Marshal Panda: Terrorist attacks from Pakistan will continue till that country and its security apparatus exist in the present form. And India just can’t wish away Pakistan. Short of regular war, many other military, diplomatic, economic and scientific options are available to bleed Pakistan. One option according to experts is – five lakhs shells were lobbed during Kargil over a period of three months. Even a fraction of that nos. are lobbed across the LOC in a sustained manner, Pakistan will go bust.

Nirmal Panda: Yes..But my demand is to remove 370.

Ar Karthik Shyale: We are already in War with Pak since partition, the sooner we realize this the lesser we bleed! All that we need today is come out of foolishness of “Aman ki Tamasha” & neutralize the terrorist state Pakistan for good!

Rajender Raj: India should take POK back.

Vijaya Singh: Yes we can. But with a strategy in place. Wars are not fought on emotions only, but with careful planning. We cannot let our boys be cattle fodder for the Pakis.

Yes

Jagannath Satapathy: India with wholeheartedly start a war especially in disputed PoK without any doubt. Even Mr Modi re-emerged as a larger leader by withdrawing MFN status and even opposition in compulsion also joined the hands, no time to wait for abolition of Article 370..

Mahendra Adhikari: Yes.

Acharya Biswa: Yes, no doubt.

Asish Satpathy: Definitely we can, as it’s the only way to stop this type of cowardice activity.

Gyan Ranjan: When it comes to National Security, India must act and Indians must afford. War is not child’s play and can’t be started instantly with emotions. The war can be be fought diplomatically with allies, putting pressure on rogue nation, commercial terms and fighting on ground. I am sure that the govt at centre quite capable of taking right decision. Though war will help the govt during election year, still govt will take a call at right time with right strategy.

Nrusingha Nanda Panigrahy: There is no other alternative. It should be a war like Bangladesh war. Pakistan should be eliminated from the political map of the world.

Dilip Lenka: It’s high time we stop politics, unite ourselves, and prepare for a final war against terrorism.

Prakash Parija: Yes. We can and we must attack Pakistan.

Dharmraj Rajesh Kumar Purohit: Boycott Chinese product; China is father of Pakistan helping throughout the all terror attacks, and after all India started the war by taking the most favoured nation title from Pakistan, it will affect poor Pakistan’s economy. The most important thing here is there is other options available which would be more disastrous for Pakistan than war, we want to see Pakistan on road.

Nayak Locanath: Ridiculous question, we will suffer till our mentality and courage touches the thoughts of Israel…

Anirudha Nayak: No doubt we can.. But with proper planning… But before that.. First we have to clean our home… Yahan ghar ghar main bibishan hai.

Rakesh Gupta: Yes, India can afford and it is the only way to dealt with Pakistan because the rouge nation is like kutte ka dum jo kabhi sidha nahi hoga, usse katna padega.

TNI Bureau: Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee President Niranjan Patnaik has recently assured the youth of Odisha that Congress will guarantee jobs to each needy household if it comes to power.

Do you trust Congress’ promise of creating huge employment opportunities for the youth of #Odisha ?

Your Views:

Asish Satpathy: Who stopped them to do so when they were in power for more than 70 years. That’s just like a lollipop they are trying to sell, nothing else.

Souranshu Prasad Sahoo: Everyone should get a chance to fulfill his/her promise…As far as Congress’ Odisha unit is concerned, not a remarkable change in the unit … So, I can’t believe the State Congress unit for fulfilling its agenda of mass employment…

Not at all looking at their past record. They will promise anything for power.

Surjya Narayan: False and valueless promises.

Laxminarayan Kanungo: Govt job is not possible. Only employments in formal sector can be increased. Skill development training can create jobs in informal sector. Even Modi had told in July inside the Parliament that about 80 lakh employment was created in formal sector and 20 lakh in informal sector, in last one year. There is no government data on employment after 2015-16. Before that Labour Bureau had reported about 2 & 3 lakh employments in 2015 & 2016 respectively.

Sambit Nanda: Not only Congress, all other parties including BJD and BJP also cannot be trusted on employment issues. They mean to fool the youth only.

Pradeep Shahri: Not at all. Can’t be trusted.

Ajit Dash: Do they have any agenda?? I do not think so. While BJD failed to create opportunities in last 20 years, what to expect from another party? We have failed to attract international as well as national companies to start production here..

Acharya Biswa: I don’t think they have any vision or policy for Odisha development in long term. All political parties are only busy for election management making us fool.

Suvendu Mohapatra: This is a jumla like they have been voicing (Garib mukt Bharat ).

Nanda KIshore CHoudhury: Impossible.

TNI Bureau: The victims of Chit Fund Scam in Odisha had high hopes from the CBI as they thought it would punish the guilty and put them behind the bars. While some arrests have been made, the main culprits remained free. CBI did not show the urgency as required.

Even today, the CBI is going aggressive in West Bengal, but remained silent in Odisha. Our debate topic was –

Why CBI failed to act aggressively in Odisha chit fund scam?

Your Views:

Sambit Nanda:The Chit Fund and Mining scams are turned out to be the best deal makers for the supposed post election alliance between BJD and BJP in 2019.

Acharya Biswa: Political compulsion.

Amitav Khilar: Something is fishy.

Dr. Sudhansu Dash: A concealed political nexus, but people will answer the injustice effectively.

Pradeepta Dash: Seems they did not get conclusive proof of involvement of any top politicians.

Janakish Badapanda: Because a number of IAS and IPS officers are involved in the scam. CBI could have exposed them, while arresting the politicians. These Babus stopped the process.

Ramachandi Prasad Ranasingh: There is no proof. They are just beating around the bush. It’s very unlikely that any politician will be convicted in the court of law.

Laxminarayan Kanungo: These political parties are hand in gloves in dealing with corruption. They don’t want to lead by their actions. Even they don’t want to set up Lokpal-Lokayukta. The parties don’t show any interest to implement national/state funding of parties & elections as suggested by various committees & commissions to minimize conflict of interest & corruption at source.

Satyabadi Mahakur: Just do the vote bank politics.never bring the change in the society. Everything for power.

Debasish Mishra: Not only triple talaaq, Congress will not try to solve any controversial issue.

Suvendu Mohapatra: As known to everyone and Cristal crear to everyone Women’s respect go to hell , Congress and it’s ideology -The only objective encase vote from the minority communities and the poor ,For that from last 60 years they have been playing the slogan of pro poor , pro minorities only at the time of election on head.

Prakash Parija: Just to bring back Muslim votes.

Suchintan Rout: Only vote bank politics, they have done nothing for Muslim since independence but show off.

RS Gandhi: Absolutely right by Rahul Gandhi.

Nanda KIshore Choudhury: Congress is the only party which does not take any call to end any controversial issues.

Nirmal Panda: Only to bag Muslim votes.

Arpan Datta: It would backfire.

Sambit Nanda: It’s bare vote bank politics. Even a major portion of Muslim Women voters may refrain from voting for Congress next time. I am astonished who is making the calculations for Rahul Gandhi !

Dr. Sanat Kumar Mohanty: Congress has created many cancers for the country, shouldn’t be allowed to do again and more. Had it been some other country, congress leaders would have been digged out from their grave and thrown into the ocean.

Ranjan Kumar: Law should be one, religion should be a barrier.

The mainstream media has been biased of reporting issues that are not related to peace and development and often accused of targeting a group or individuals based on their preferences. The advent of social media played a key role in busting and exposing all propaganda and it was believed that it would replace the media as a reliable and authentic medium. But, is it happening?

The social media is getting very powerful in today’s digital world. Be it Facebook, Twitter or WhatsApp, they help in spreading awareness and reporting fast news. At the same time, we are getting disturbing trends of photo shopped images, false news, slanderous campaign etc. on social media, which the mainstream media won’t dare to do, as they are regulated and accountable.

Attacks and counter attacks have become the new fashion on social media platforms. Bulldozing others’ views, attacking them with slang, abuses and threats, trolling them hard, indulging in name calling, were not part of the concept that led to the rise of social media. Some vested interests now disturbing peace and harmony – whether social or religious, using these tools.

While political parties and their fans take the lead to spread hatred, communal frenzy and maligning campaigns, even senior journalists add fuel to the fire by their insensitive and biased reporting. Where we are heading? When it will stop? We never know…

Rohit-Sardana
Rohit Sardana

Ravish Kumar
Ravish Kumar

Soon after the Congress-led UPA Government cleared the last hurdle for the formation of a separate Telangana state out of Andhra Pradesh, Nabarangpur MP Pradeep Majhi was quick to seek the bifurcation of Odisha and batted for a separate state consisting of areas from South Odisha.

Pradeep_Majhi1“The division of larger states like “Andhra Pradesh” because of providing better administration & development is a noble idea but is that the only solution? What about our state? The coastal side is way better & developed than our region so should we also ask for bifurcation of the state on this criteria? What is your view?”, posted Mr. Majhi on Facebook.

Pradeep wants a new state, which would comprise of undivided Koraput (Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Malkangiri), Kalahandi and Gajapati. He strongly believes that would help the region prosper socially and economically. It would be interesting to see how the BJD and other political parties, including the Congress will respond to Mr. Majhi’s call.

It is believed that most funds that come for the KBK are being diverted to other regions such as Balangir. Also, the Koraput-Kalahandi region has been subjected to long neglect and government apathy because of the distance from the capital city. There is a growing demand for a separate Kosal state, comprising the regions from Western Odisha, based on similar arguments. However, the government has never given any importance to such claims. Telangana may change the scenario in Odisha sooner or later.

Yes, her father, Music Director Manmanth Mishra could be behind her initial rise, but Prakruti has impressed all with her perfect body, killer look, dance, singing and may be acting to some extent.

Prakruti wants people to notice her. She teases, dares and challenges people on Facebook and gets slammed too. The vulgar and abusive comments on Facebook pages hardly bother her. And, that’s strange for a young girl to take such harsh blows that come too often.

She does not want to close her Facebook accounts. Rather, she wants to be more pro-active and take on her critics. Will it work? Even her well wishers have asked her to focus on her career and stop fighting with the critics. But, it seems she enjoys it all. Now in Mumbai (for study), Prakruti is probably waiting for a big Bollywood ticket, which remains the dream of every aspiring actresses.
