Supreme Court Judge shot dead in Kathmandu

TNI Bureau: In a shocking development today, a Supreme Court judge was shot dead in Kathamandu. The judge was identified as Rana Bahadur Bam. His bodyguard and another passenger were wounded in the attack.

Mr. Rana Bahadur Bam was facing charges of taking bribes for abduction suspects in 2010. He reportedly accepted money to release them with light sentences and fines.

Bam was shot dead while he was moving towards the Court. Two masked motorcyle-donpatoe assailants were involved in the attack. Bam was shot several times. He succumbed to his injuries at the Norvic Hospital.
