Srinivasan Stays On, BCCI fools Cricket Lovers

India witnessed a big drama at the BCCI meeting today as the cricket board fooled everyone and failed to oust its Chief N Srinivasan. The board officials had to bow their heads before his conditions. Srinivasan agreed to step aside as the chief of the board under a compromise formula.

Srinivasan will continue as the chief of the board, but former chief Jagmohan Dalmiya will conduct day-to-day activities till the probe is completed.

The decision sparked huge criticism as the provision does not exist in the BCCI constitution.  The officials, who were talking tough against Srinivasan before media, did not ask him to step down during the meeting.  Even, key members like Arun Jaitley, Rajeev Shukla and Anurag Thakur appeared to have changed their tone and remained silent at the meeting. Arun Jaitley proposed two names Shashank Manohar and Dalmiya and finally the later was brought back as head of the 4-member interim arrangement to run the board.

Srinivasan looked more confident as nobody did raise voice against him.
