TNI Bureau: The Supreme Court on Monday expressed displeasure over the government for its casual effort in the 2G auction process, which was as a complete wash out. The apex court slammed the Centre and refused to admit the affidavit filed by an under-secretary ranking official.
The apex court made it clear that the affidavit must be filed by a secretary-level officer in the court. The government was directed to reply within two days on why the 2G spectrum, licences cancelled by the court were not put up during the recent action.
The court’s unhappiness was revealed after veteran lawyer Prashant Bhushan had filed an application alleging the government was not following court’s guidelines in the 2G auction process.
