Samsung plans to launch Windows RT Tablet

TNI Bureau: After the court put sales ban on the Galaxy 10.1, Samsung has revealed about its plan to go for a tablet that will run on the Windows RT operating system, part of Microsoft’s Windows 8 software.

If this belief will really be made, Samsung will be the first to launch a Windows tablet running on Arm-based processors rather than Intel.

The said new tablet, which is expected to run on the latest version of Windows, the Windows 8 or Windows RT will be a touchscreen version and will offer the ‘Metro’ browsing interface that is similar to that used on Windows Phone.

However, Windows RT can only be possible by Samsung once Windows 8 itself is unveiled. The same has been declared to be released in October 2012.

If source of ‘Bloomberg’, which has reported about the probability of launch of the device will be trusted, then each of the tablets would cost around $600, which also implies that Samsung will have to come out with a cheaper version, as otherwise the company will have to pay a lot for the Windows RT license.

Further, if the expectation is true then the tablet would be launched in coming October this year.
