Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Note 510, its new 8-inch tablet in India on Friday. The device comes equipped with 8 inch HD display and an S-Pen. Though the company has not tagged a price for the tablet so far it is expected to be around Rs 25,000 in the country.
The tablet is powered with a quad-core 1.6 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 based processor with 2 GB RAM and comes in 16 GB and 32 GB models – (both with a memory card slot supporting up to 64 GB micro SD card) and a Non-removable Li-Ion 4600 mAh battery. It supports WiFi and WiFi+3G.
The Note features a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and also record HD videos and a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera for video chatting and self-portrait images. The Note 510 will come with version 4.1.2 of Jelly Bean (OS) onboard and the new TouchWiz Nature UX.
The device features AllShareCast, Samsung ChatOn and Smart Stay. Also Multimedia content can be downloaded from the Samsung Hub that includes Learning Hub, Game Hub, Music Hub, Reader Hub and Video Hub through the Galaxy Note 510.
The tablet will hit store shelves only by end of March or early April later this year as per the company.
