TNI Bureau: Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has finally announced his retirement from ODI cricket, but maintained silence over his future plans with Test cricket. Sachin’s decision to retire from limited over cricket ahead of series against Pakistan, has surprised all. It is speculated that he wanted to play, but took the decision under pressure.
Tendulkar played 463 ODIs and scored 18,426 runs at an average of 44.83. He scored 49 hundreds and 96 fifties. Tendulkar was the first batsman in the history of ODI to score a double hundred. Sehwag achieved that milestone later.
Tendulkar had a dream of winning the World Cup and he did it in 2011. That was the only dream he is pursuing.
