Rupee slumps again, closes at 56.24 vs US Dollar

TNI Bureau: The Indian Rupee fell again despite the efforts made by the RBI to revive its fortunes. The Rupee closed at a new low of 56.24 against the US Dollar today.

While the UD Dollar continues to surge against all foreign currencies, Rupee is no exception. There is a huge demand for the dollar among the global investors. Even the Euro fell to the lowest level since July 2010 against the US Dollar.

Rupee’s slump continued against the British Pound too. It dropped further to 87.55 against 87.23 of Tuesday’s close.
