The 47TH Local Advisory Committee (LAC) meeting of RUDSET Institute, Bhubaneswar has been successfully conducted at the Institute’s Bhagabanpur Industrial Estate, Patrapada on 23-11-2013 under the convener ship of the Institute’s Director, Shri L.C.Paul.
Among the other honorable dignitaries present were Shri S.C.Sethi, Lead District Manager, SBI, Khordha, Shri B.P.Kar, Asst. General Manger, NABARD, RO, Bhubaneswar, Shri D. Pradhan, Divisional Manager, Canara Bank, CO, Bhubaneswar, Shri S.R.Mohanty, Sr. Manager, Syndicate Bank, RO, Bhubaneswar, Shri R.K.Sharma, Asst. Director, Vocational Rehabilitation Centre for Physically Handicapped, Bhubaneswar, Shri D.K.Srichandan, Chief Executive, DSMS, DRDA, Khordha, Shri P.Nayak, GM (Retd.), SBI, Shri B.K.Mahunta, CGM (Retd.), NABARD & Shri K.C.Mohapatra, GM (Retd.), NABARD etc.
On the occasion also, Hon’ble Collector & DM has dedicated an Audio Tape produced for creating awareness among the unemployed youth of the Khordha district about the Institute which is recognized as the centre of excellence by the MORD in the field of skill development training.
While reviewing the Bank linkages performance, Hon’ble Collector & District Magistrate expressed his displeasure on the poor participation of various bank branches of the district in extending necessary loans / credit linkage to the RUDSETI trained candidates to establish their own business enterprise. He categorically instructed the Institute’s Director to forward the individual’s credit proposal along with the project report to the concerned branch of the service area bank under copy to District collector & Lead District Manager for necessary monitoring & follow up. He also instructed the LDM to convene a special DCC meeting at the Institute itself to sensitise various branch heads & line department officials of the district about the Ministry of Rural Development Guidelines for 100% credit linkage of RUDSETI trained candidates.
Shri L.C.Paul, Director also placed before the house about the forthcoming training programmes on Dress Designing for women, Food Processing, Plumbing & Sanitary which was duly approved by the committee.
As the Institute has been graded as AA category model Institute in the country provided with high standard infrastructure & logistics including the residential facility for 100 boys & girls. All block officials were requested to motivate the trainee candidates to avail of the residential facilities thereby enabling the Institute to impart quality training. The meeting ended at 2:10 P.M. with vote of thanks by Shri L.C.Paul, Director – Cum – Convener of the Institute.
