TNI Bureau: The so-called grand “fast” organised by Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev jointly turned out to be a cropper, as key Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal walked out of the fast venue in Delhi today.

There is little doubt that Kejriwal was sidelined by Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev, even though he tried to clarify that he left the venue because of his ill health. Ramdev criticised Kejriwal for taking the names of leaders, including the Prime Minister during his speech.

That prompted an “insulted” and “embarrassed” Kejriwal to walk out of the venue. Later, Kejriwal clarified on Twitter that he left as he was unwell and that he would try to convince Baba Ramdev that naming was important in today’s scenario.

“This is a political battle and we will have to name and shame and demand severe action against corrupt people,” he tweeted.

During his speech, Kejriwal had named PM Dr. Manmohan Singh, A Raja, other Cabinet Ministers, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Mayawati, Jayalalithaa and Lalu Prasad Yadav. The Congress Party asked why he did not take the names of BJP leaders Bangaru Laxman and BS Yeddyurappa.

The latest development proved beyond doubt that all is not well within Team Anna and people have started disapproving Kejriwal’s way of functioning.
