Athens Olympics Silver medalist, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has taken voluntary retirement from the Indian Army and joined the BJP at a grand rally addressed by Narendra Modi in Jaipur today. Rathore, who had won a Silver medal in Double Trap Shooting at the 2004 Athens Olympics, has termed Narendra Modi as a ‘decisive’ leader the country is looking for.
The 43-year-old Army Colonel hailed Narendra Modi and Vasundhara Raje as great leaders and said they can give strong leadership even in tough times. BJP President Rajnath Singh was present at the massive rally attended by over three lakh people.
“I know politics and politicians have become symbol of hatred these days. However, I believe in goodness and working with selfless goals. I will definitely make a difference in politics,” he said.
