TNI Bureau: Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, who recently took oath as the member of Rajya Sabha, has been allotted 5 Tughlak Lane bungalow in New Delhi. The MP is entitled Z-plus security.

The bungalow, a type VII accommodation, which is normally given to cabinet-rank ministers, Sachin was allotted to it. The new house is just opposite Rahul Gandhi’s residence. He stays at 12 Tughlak Lane. It suggested that Sachin would now be the neighbour of Rahul in Delhi.

The bungalow is spread over 7000 sq feet. It has 5 bedrooms and big lawns. Sachin’s news house will be guarded by a pose of security personnel. Apart from these, he will be provided two escort vehicles when he will stay in the capital.

The final formalities to allot the bungalow to Sachin will be done by the Rajya Sabha Housing Committee. However, the house is yet to be vacated by the present occupant Vikram Verma, a former BJP MP, whose Rajya Sabha term expired in April.

The house will be vacated by August as Verma has been given extension of three months foe staying at 5, Tughlaq Lane.
